QC Design is a quantum computing company that designs useful and scalable quantum computers. Our mission is to enable mankind to build the ultimate computing machines allowed by the laws of physics.

Established in 2021, QC Design was co-founded by Ish Dhand, a quantum computing researcher and former architecture team lead at Xanadu, along with Martin B. Plenio, Alexander von Humboldt Professor and Director of the Institute for Theoretical Physics at University of Ulm: a pioneer in quantum technologies with experience in all significant hardware platforms. With a dedicated team of over 10 top experts, QC Design is working to unlock the full potential of quantum computers.

The fastest path to fault-tolerance

Quantum computers will one day drive scientific discoveries and help solve complex problems such as drug development, carbon capture and fertilizer manufacture. But these and other breakthrough applications of quantum computing need fault-tolerance, the ability to run millions of gates on quantum computers despite hardware imperfections.

Building a fault-tolerant quantum computer requires specific architectures that describe how to assemble imperfect building blocks into scalable and reliable quantum computers.

QC design offers quantum computing manufacturers licenses to the most hardware-efficient fault-tolerant architectures, providing them with a clear roadmap for building reliable systems.
